Mengubahsuai Nautilus
Nautilus adalah fleksibel dan pengguna dibenarkan mengubah beberapa perkara mengikut keperluan dan kehendak biskita. Antaranya latar belakang (background) Nautilus yang secara default berwarna puteh boleh ditukar kepada warna lain mahupun pattern. Untuk tujuan ini, pada menu bar Nautilus klik menu Edit > Background and Emblem. Akan dipaparkan tetingkap Background and Emblem; Padanya biskita boleh memilih samada untuk menukar background kepada Patterns, Colour ataupun memberikan ikon pada folder/fail dengan menggunakan Emblem. Contohnya jika biskita memilih Patterns, heret dan jatuhkan (drag and drop) pattern yang dipilih ke ruang/kawasan senarai fail (files area) pada Nautilus. Secara serta merta latar belakang Nautilus akan ditukarkan mengikut pattern yang dipilih. Untuk kembali kepada asal, heret dan jatuhkan "Reset" ke dalam ruangan senarai fail.
Untuk mengubah sesuatu yang lebih kompleks pada Nautilus, biskita boleh menggunakan Preferences - klik menu Edit > Preferences. Tetingkap Preferences akan dipaparkan dan daripadanya biskita dibenarkan untuk mengubah banyak ketetapan mengikut kehendak dan keselesaan biskita dalam Nautilus.

Senarai Aplikasi Sumber Terbuka (Audio & Video)
Pada 12 September yang lalu telah dikongsikan senarai aplikasi sumber terbuka yang mengkhusus kepada grafik 2D dan 3D. Untuk kali ini pula dikongsikan senari beberapa aplikasi sumber terbuka Audio & Video. Ianya percuma untuk digunakan dalam Ubuntu. Sila layari website aplikasi berkenaan untuk keterangan lanjut.

Ardour is a digital audio workstation. You can use it to record, edit and mix multi-track audio. You can produce your own CDs, mix video soundtracks, or just experiment with new ideas about music and sound.

Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx
Beberapa hari lepas Mark Shuttleworth pengasas Ubuntu telah mengumumkan versi LTS (Long Term Support) terbaharu Ubuntu 10.04 dengan code name Lucid Lynx akan dirilis pada bulan April 2010. Sila lihat video dibawah mengenai pengumuman berkenaan.
Sebelum kemunculan Lucid Lynx di tahun hadapan, pada 29 Oktober yang akan datang ini, Ubuntu versi 9.10 Karmic Koala akan dirilis/dilancarkan. Ianya menjanjikan banyak perubahan dan pembaharuan dalam Ubuntu. Bagi peminat dan pengguna Ubuntu semestinya sudah merasa tidak sabar-sabar akan kehadiran Karmic Koala berkenaan apatah lagi akan tiba selepas itu pula Lucid Lynx. Pada ketika ini, gerakkan pelancaran Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala sudah ditahap Alpha 6 dan akan memasuki tahap Beta pada 1 Oktober 2009.
