Senarai Aplikasi Sumber Terbuka (Grafik)

Untuk entri kali ini dikongsikan senarai beberapa aplikasi sumber terbuka grafik 2D dan 3D bagi digunakan secara percuma dalam Ubuntu. Sumber diperolehi daripada beberapa blog dan website yang pernah saya kunjungi. Diharapkan ianya akan dapat membantu bukan sahaja pengguna Ubuntu malahan pengguna MS Windows sebagai alternatif kepada aplikasi berbayar. 2D Graphic Design Applications

Cenon is a graphical tool of a special kind. Build upon a modular graphical core, Cenon offers a wide variety of possibilities and applications.

GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/
GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

GIMPshop is a modification of the free/open source GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), intended to replicate the feel of Adobe Photoshop. Its primary purpose is to make users of Photoshop feel comfortable using GIMP.

An easy to use cross-platform panoramic imaging toolchain based on Panorama Tools. With hugin you can assemble a mosaic of photographs into a complete immersive panorama, stitch any series of overlapping pictures and much more.

An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

KoverArtist is a program for the fast creation of covers for cd/dvd cases and boxes. The main idea behind it is to be able to create decent looking covers with some mouse clicks.

KToon is a 2D Animation Toolkit designed by animators (Toonka Films ) for animators, focused to the Cartoon Industry. This project is covered by the GPL License using G++, OpenGL and QT as programming resources from KDevelop as the development platform.

Krita is a graphics application for everyone who wants to get creative with images. Whether you want to create from scratch or work with existing images, Krita is meant for you.

MyPaint is a fast and easy open-source graphics application for digital painters. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it.

3D Graphic Design Applications

Art of Illusion is a free, open source 3D modelling and rendering studio. It is written entirely in Java, and should be usable on any Java Virtual Machine which is compatible with Java 5 or later.

Many of its capabilities rival those found in commercial programs. Some of the highlights include subdivision surface based modelling tools, skeleton based animation, and a graphical language for designing procedural textures and materials.

The Persistence of Vision Raytracer is a high-quality, totally free tool for creating stunning three-dimensional graphics. It is available in official versions for Windows, Mac OS/Mac OS X and i86 Linux. The source code is available for those wanting to do their own ports.

White_dune is a low level VRML97 tool for Unix/Linux/MacOSX and Windows. It can read VRML97 files, display and let the user change the scenegraph/fields. Unlike most highlevel tools, it uses a light model based on the VRML97 standard.
